What gets installed on the server?

Two NSFs (Unplugged and UnpluggedLog) get installed on the server and must be in the root (data) directory. UnpluggedLog.nsf is a logging DB that records, at configurable levels, data and requests transferred to and from devices. There is an option to copy the device log to this file as well. Unplugged.nsf is the main configuration database that allows an Unplugged Administrator to provision Notes applications to users’ devices.

Neither DB contains any server hooks, only agents that run on the application set to be mobilized, e.g. breaking down the elements and data and sending them out to the devices. Permissions for these databases can be found in the Unplugged User Guide. No additional hardware is required and the server must be Domino 8.5.1 or later.
